Rachel Gay, FNP-BC, is a compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in critical care. She graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and worked eight years as a nurse in intensive care units. She received the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses in 2017, a testament to her exceptional patient care. She continued her education earning a Master of Science in Nursing with honors from the University of South Carolina in December 2022. Rachel began practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Aiken & North Augusta Endocrinology in January 2023, where she continues to provide excellent care to her patients. Her personal experience with type 1 diabetes, since 10 years old, empowers her with understanding and empathy for patients and the motivator for her career as a nurse practitioner. She brings a unique perspective to her practice, combining her personal experience with her clinical expertise to provide the best possible care to her patients. Rachel is a dedicated and passionate healthcare provider who is committed to making a positive impact on her patient’s lives.
Keifer Richardson, an Aiken native, is a dedicated medical professional with a passion for endocrinology. He graduated from Midland Valley High School in 2009 and went on to study Biology at Clemson University and the University of South Carolina-Aiken from 2009 to 2013. In December 2013, Keifer earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences from the University of South Carolina-Aiken. His commitment to patient care led him to Augusta University, where he received medical training and graduated from AU’s Master of Physician Assistant Program in August 2017 with a remarkable 4.0 GPA. Prior to becoming a licensed provider at Aiken & North Augusta Endocrinology in September 2017, Keifer studied Endocrinology at Aiken & North Augusta Endocrinology for two months as a student. His NCCPA certification and expertise in understanding and treating endocrine disorders make him a trusted healthcare provider in the Aiken community.
Amy Parrott brings a compassionate approach and clear communication style to her interactions with patients, focusing primarily on primary care and preventive medicine. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Brenau University in 2022, following her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Carolina in 2015, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of South Carolina Aiken. Ms. Parrott commenced her nursing journey in 2010 at the Medical College of Georgia after completing the ADN program at Aiken Technical College. She continued her practice at Aiken Regional Medical Center, catering to surgical, critically ill, and case management patients. Over the past seven years, she honed her expertise in Occupational and Preventive Medicine while serving as a civil servant with the Department of Defense. Throughout her nursing career, Ms. Parrott has garnered recognition for her outstanding contributions and patient care. Her accolades include the Armed Services Civilian Service Medal and Joint Meritorious Unit Award from the Secretary of Defense, the Intelligence Community Professional Award from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Gold Award for Excellence in Patient Care from Aiken Regional Medical Center, and the Nightingale Award for Excellence in Patient Care from Aiken Technical College. Ms. Parrott is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the American Nurses Association (ANA). Additionally, she holds certification as a Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist (COHC) through the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation.
